Delta Ridge is one of the newer neighborhoods of Raleigh and is occupied mainly by young entrepreneurs, businessmen and professionals. This makes the atmosphere of the community really cosmopolitan and modern. Being occupied by educated and the newly rich, Delta Ridge is always abuzz with one activity or the other. And adding to its beauty is its location. Seated right next to the Umstead Park, the biggest recreational park in the entire triangle region, you never have to worry about where to spend your evenings if you are feeling lonely. Also being close to US70, you are never too far from Rex Hospital in case of an emergency or from shopping centers and restaurants.
There are in all 138 houses in Delta Ridge and while the minimum area of site is 0.12 acre, the maximum here is about 0.25 acre. While this may seem small, I would like to say that these houses are best suited for single families and where the couple has little time to maintain the house. There are also a few Cul de sacs, but I would have really loved to se some wooded lots too here.
Gas in Delta Ridge is provided by PropaneNat and the cable TV connection is provided by Time Warner. The city administration takes care of water and sewer system.
The HOA of Delta Ridge charges a mere $175 towards maintenance and upkeep of the common spaces like the street lights, parks, clubhouse etc.
Most of the children from Delta Ridgeattend either of these schools – Stough Elementary, Leesville Road Middle School and Leesville Road High School. Maybe these schools are not the best, but they have always been appreciated for their fine, well educated staff and the great environment.
Reaching Delta Ridge is really easy. After you hit I440, go west on Glenwood Ave through US70. Now take a left turn towards Duraleigh Road and then another left towards Delta Lake Drive.
