If you are looking forward to an address in North Raleigh which is also conveniently located to I40 and I440 then look no further because Laurel Hills is the perfect place for you. Situated between Duraleigh Rd and Edwards Mill Rd, Laurel Hills is one of the oldest neighborhoods of North Raleigh. The first houses here were constructed way back in the 1960’s and the construction is still going on in a few sites.
Laurel Hills can be divided into two sections. One of the sections consists of the older houses, built mainly in brick and cement and constructed around the 1960s or so. The second part is the relatively newer construction, built mainly in wood and around 1990’s onwards.
Laurel Hill’s great location ensures that it is always close to the schools, shopping centers, restaurants, medical facilities and almost every other place that you might have to frequent like grocery stores.
Laurel Hill’s being an older neighborhood has lots of wooded spaces and several mature trees line the streets making it a pleasure to walk in the evenings. The newer houses are all two storey single family houses whereas the older ones resemble the ranch style housing of single storey houses. Most of the houses have anywhere between 3-4 bedrooms and 2-3 bathrooms. The price range for the houses here varies between $300,000 to $1,000,000 and depends mainly on the age and size of the property.
